Reviews
The coffee is made well and does an excellent job of preparing the coffee. I like the front loading of water and coffee. I like the way the dish is shaped like a beak. E 'doesn ' t spill coffee as others do. Pour the water into the machine, or simply browsing a cup of coffee, is free to drop. Using my last coffee required a lot of towels around. The design of head that has a lot to do with it. The cup warm up, never really gets hot. I don 't think there is an element of real-there to warm up coffee mugs, I think it ' s just the heat rising from the coffee perked. I find the backs are drawn with the electronics of this device. After a short while turned off. Much faster than any other part of coffee I ever had. I can hear the click element to keep the coffee hot, but after about 30 minutes - my cup of coffee next door, and the device is already out, and 3 / 4 cup of coffee is lukewarm. The recovery of hot coffee takes about 15-20 minutes to re-heat. This is the second largest producer of coffee that I bought for the office. Until recently this fails, I'll learn to adapt to it 's temperament mail.
I've had this coffee maker for one year, and it 's have been leaking slowly for about 6 months. Unfortunately I waited too long to contact the company and today 's out of warranty, and they will do nothing to help me despite the fact that there seems to be disabled based on extensive review of the number who said the leak. Although 'sa nice design, DO NOT PURCHASE this as inevitably, there may be a leak and you ' ll have to buy a new one.
Consumer Reports rated this great and is a great value, makes coffee very good and not expensive.
This coffee is genius. I was always dragging my entire team under the office each morning to make coffee. This is a great design. Front access to water and coffee - no more dragging the machine out. I love, love, love it! What intelligent design. And the coffee is great, too. You can use the "flavor " feature of black coffee. The adjustment will regulate your coffee a little hotter and faster - in both senses brew delicious coffee. I 've tried all the coffee out there, and this is my favorite hands down.
Like many other commentators, I was initially pleased with the product. It worked well for many months, then mysteriously started leaking onto the coffee plate heating. I have the same pooling of coffee and burning around the heating plate and onto the counter. I tried to figure how this is happening, and start the drip from the basket hole is 3 or 4 cm off-set from the receiving hole in the pitcher. So when the flow increases, it 's literally bouncing off the pitcher lid and explosion in the side of the pitcher because the flow of pressure and misalignment between the pitcher and the basket. I 'm not much of an engineer, but I hope it isn ' t rocket science either. So my plan is to remove the carafe lid-that are likely to make the hole big enough ... Remove the valve and also drip from the basket ... 'Course I ' ll have to make sure it 's fully drained before taking a cup (.. hmmm ....) but that ' s ok, it requires only a few behavior changes on my part - to kind of Pavlovian experiment, Which according to other reviewers are unhappy easier than a change of behavior about this product from DeLonghi.
I have a Delonghi before and what I didn 't like is that the hotplate ' s black coating peeled in bits & pieces causing the underlying metal to rust. The unit still worked, but I didn 't like the look of the hotplate and decided to get a new coffeemaker after three years Use hesitated to buy another DeLonghi for problems, but provided for a) the price are affordable ($ 50) and b) I liked the water refill mechanism (no need to re-position the coffeemaker). The swing-out basket is a fairly tight fit and you can not open them individually. I guess that is a nice feature so baskets can not leak or swing out when you don 't want it to. I always use scent feature for 6 cups or less to keep the coffee and take a strong force cookies. For 10-12 cup, the aroma button required. The aroma features that really makes the water drip more slowly so it takes a little for cooking. I have not had the experience of others where my coffee is not enough warm, (but do not use liquid creamer). You don 't have to use the permanent filter. Just take that out and use a filter paper within the outer basket which works fine for a larger amount. The paper makes aliner dump the used grounds. The pitcher 's squirt not leak when pouring (like many other carafes). My recommendation is if any liquid - water or coffee - drips onto the hotplate, wipe it immediately to the hotplate won 't peel and rust that my previous machine did. BTW, I hope I 'd be able to save my old DeLonghi pitched as a backup in case the new broke. The old one did not fit the model. Overall, I am very pleased with this product after three months of use.
It is pouring coffee at the back of a couple of days ago, now there 't work at all.
As mentioned by others, it takes time to make a pot - about half an hour. And that 's on the regular establishment, not the "Aroma ' parameter 'is expected to take more time and improve the flavor. And when it 's finally over, coffee is not hot. R rthe before access is a nice touch, but I would not buy this machine.
I'm in the process of waiting for the replacement of my original DeLonghi front loader. I liked the design concept, but after 5 months of use it began to filter in the hot plate. They are sending me a replacement unit, but II had to send $ 15.00, $ 9.50, not like some of the letters of complaint specified, along with the plug. I also had to fax them information ($ 2.00) and the Post Office will assign a tracking number to my mail from the plug and cut the check ($ 2.00) I hope the replacement unit will operate as described in literature, because with the money I spent for them to replace the obviously defective coffee could have bought another brand and model and keep all the running around.
I 've been with this coffee maker for a couple of weeks and I ' m really like it. First, it makes great coffee, and I like the temperature. I haven 't had any of the other reviewers mention the problems with leakage. In fact it 's easy to maintain and use. But the best feature is the whole reason I bought this model ... the swing-out front loading arm. I have the coffee corner to the back corner of my counter under my cabinets. The swing-out arm allows me to carry the basket of water and without moving the whole thing, which would be impossible with any other manufacturer. I'm happy with my purchase and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that t 'does develop a leak problem, as some other reviewers have mentioned.
When I first tried this coffee, the coffee was weak and diluted. Then I read the manual and thought it was because I didn 't release flavor "button - no improvement, only one time beer (about 3-4 times longer to mature a half a pot of coffee - Absurd!). So I tried the paper filters, thinking perhaps that the filter was supplied defective in some way ... same result. So I tried adding more coffee grounds to compensate for the lack of flavor - the same result. I jumped online to see if people were experiencing the junk that I like and found that people were complaining that the thing leaked again. I did not 't seen initially, but after reading the comments that he got out, I picked up my unit and of course, I could have stroked back into the pool of water under the POS breakdown No need to continue to rant here is: r tasting coffee rDiluted rtwice the amount of counter space used for its size LARGE unnecessary R3-4 times the amount of time to mature rleaked r $ 20 more expensive than the coffee more I bought as a replacement r rThis is the first time I've expressed my opinion about a product online, whether I have been incredibly impressed or turned off I felt the overwhelming need to share my experience with this one, because if I can save one person to buy this product you will be satisfied. I had never heard of the company DeLonghi in my life, but this is the last product I buy from this manufacturer.
We had owned several Black & Decker Spacemaker Coffeemakers within the past 22 years. However, that for the past 3 years is very poorly designed so when the last one stopped working we decided to try another brand. Space is limited so do not toploading. I saw it in a local debt Delonghi. store but they are out of stock. When I got home, I went straight to Amazon and found it, ordered it, and I'm so glad I did. It is so easy to use and is perfect coffee everytime. R ri love this coffeemaker!
Like others, we have started to experience leakage and the smell of burnt coffee. I believe we traced it to the opening arm behind that makes sneak a cup of job characteristics. It appears that over time it becomes part that is damaged, not functioning properly. I did not have success in preventing leaks by removing the spring from under the filter holder. No more leaks, but, of course, now the sneak a cup feature does not work. But, to me that really no big deal. However, for those looking for a "first aid " to fix the leak problem, removing the spring does not seem to work. Thanks to other reviewer for suggesting this.
I liked the idea of pouring water in the front, but it works only in theory. My cups of coffee are all different sizes, so use them to accurately assess the correct amount of water and then pour the water for the manufacturer of the cup. The channel is poured in water is only about 1 1 / 2 "wide. No matter how I pour, I miss the channel and the water goes everywhere. I also tried with a funnel, once to get the water in the machine but that was ridiculous. r rmy next problem is that it has a minimum of 4 cups of coffee. Even my largest cup is only a 2 1 / 2 position in the scale. So I ended up losing the coffee / water to rise to a minimum. r rso it 's on a shelf, sitting unused.
I ordered this November 9. Now, August 6. Sit back and heed the WOE story ... R ri first ordered this model after reading and hearing good things about anything other than DeLonghi Glowing reviews from my father. He loves coffee. I like coffee too. R r [Please note that the above period of nearly two months this is misleading, because I was 1) to go through most of a month during which the engine sits in a box, never used and 2) wait patiently for the decanter to arrive ( see below).] r rWhen the pitcher that got damaged. The Stainless (it looks very high quality) down to come apart from the chintzy plastic. I tried to fix the pot with kids gloves, but these weren 't strong enough. CS I wrote to them, which is very helpful, and a substitute (I should 've read this as an ADMISSION OF GUILT part because they are almost TOO accommodating and easy to believe.) R Rafter a few weeks (that ' s right. .. weeks) new pot arrived. Eager to test drive a brand new engine (read, For the First Time!), I ground up some of my best and recently obtained from Cafe Britt Costa Rica. NB, I can not easily buy the coffee is not so easily have been shipped ($ 20/kilo IF YOU WANT TO PAY SHIPPING, which ended up being half the price!). R rNow quite long-winded: in short, in a few minutes of coffee began to leak from what looks like the bottom of the pot. After examination, I found that did not result in leakage from the base or the pitcher, the pitcher, but from the (design defect: Don 't make a hole slightly decreased when the flow of coffee quickly. Too soon, actually. Every time I've tried to make a cup of coffee with a coffee brewing device is $ 70 (and tried two trial run, try different positions and maneuvers pitcher) I 've wasted better what is the amount of coffee in a counter-old Puddle cleanup is the proportion who took half a roll of muscle. r rSave trees! Save the coffee! boycott the Front access DeLonghi 10 Cup Thermal Coffee Maker!
I am on the 3rd DeLonghi coffee maker. The first one worked for three months and then it stoped heating up and then did not turn on at all. I had a new one shipped to me by the company after I cut off the end of the plug and sent it to them in the mail. AGAIN That one worked for three months and did the same thing as the first. I felt then snipped the plug, and they send me another new coffee maker. NOW this one, after using it for about 9 months (thinking that everything was working ...) started to condense and drip, not in the pot, but on the hot plate! So every morning I wake up to the smell of burnt coffee and a decanter "burned " (stuck) to the hot plate! R rI am going to call them AGAIN! I will never buy DeLonghi again, I am going back to Krups! R rthe only thing they got right was the style. I LOVE the pull out drawer, but it doesn 't matter if it won ' t make coffee right!
Why 't someone a coffee maker that makes coffee and decent work. This one makes decent coffee. Not very good, but decent. The more you are at the same time, it's best coffee. In setting minimum 4 cup (if that is too high at least) the coffee has a vague tone plastic. Making more coffee and is really good. R Rbut the big problem is that, as reported by others (and ignored by the server), after a few weeks this coffee starts to water. Across the board, on land, and if you 're inclined to do a lot of coffee for a better quality coffee is what you get rather - on the ground. R RI called Delonghi. Said he had never heard of this problem. I suggest to see reviews online. The sombre "customer service " representative offered to replace it with a $ 9 shipping fee! Fortunately, Bed Bath and Beyond is willing to take them back. R rToo wrong. It was a great idea to design a coffee machine that fills from the front. Just remember that this was 's where coffee is supposed to come from when you are done, not from the bottom!
We bought this machine because of the front-loading feature, which is convenient. However, it leaks coffee all over the burner when its Brewing Causing a mess and a smell of burnt coffee (not my favorite). I would not recommend this machine for this reason.
While the under-the-counter design is very appealing, this one is not worth all of the other issues. I had all of the problems other people had - constant leaking, overflows from the back, and so on. After six months, it finally just stopped brewing altogether. I am sure I could get a replacement from DeLonghi, but do I really want to start this all over again?
I've bought a lot of coffee pots over the years. Some for the style, color, and some for making beer. Some have been good - some not so good. This coffee pot is awesome. Handsome - Easy to use - Great tasting coffee and additional special features that I love - no need to remove the unit to fill with water. Just open the front of the unit - fill with water - put the coffee in the basket and boom you're done. If you are looking for a good coffee maker with reasonable price - I say, BUY THIS!
... We started having all kinds of problems. R rFirst, it 's easy for the water to overflow the back of the car if you aren ' t careful. The measurement of water on hand isn 't 100% accurate. R rSecondly, you lose the coffee all over the burner. There 's not clear which places it ' s losses, which is annoying. All we know is almost every time we make a pot of coffee, we will close from under the coffee can on the burner and the entire work surface. We 've tried a number of things to see from where comes, even taking the lid of the can, and being very careful about how you pour in water and put in grind, but we still can ' t figure it out. Won 't stop leaking. R rCoffee tastes so-so. It 's hot at first, but you don ' t want to try to be after that 's is sitting on the burner a couple of days. Usually end up re-Brewing whether it 's been sitting for over an hour and a half or so. Rit R 's like a fine watch, elegant machine but gets the job done.
Front loaders and with a permanent filter (like bagless vacuum cleaners, no need for paper filters, save trees, save effort, save money). The Permian-filter is a fine mesh screen made of copper color. You can remove the filter and use a paper filter if you HATE Mother Earth. R rit load 's easy, water and coffee, because, hey, we eyed ' re sleepy and need caffeine, not the complexity. It also provides cool, function and style.
The housing is all one piece. Hot steam condenses into water internally raining down on the pot and burner. How dumb can engineers get? I 'll buy another DeLonghi Coffee Pot some day, but heads will have to roll. Give some new kids coming out of Engineering class a chance and sent that sucker potbellied tenured to the unemployment line. GeeWhiz! We took it back to Lowe 's for a refund and they willingly gave my wife a refund at 60 days, now that is class. I just figured that money was toast. If you like puddles of water on the counter and drippy wet dribbling pots over to the cup, please, buy this one. bd I gave it one star, it does make good coffee, but it really deserves a zero. What ever happened to testing a design before making a million of them?
Earlier this week my coffee brewer stopped midway through an 8 cup pot. In addition, the heating plate is not heated. I called customer service and was told that my coffee machine was out of warranty broken plates and heaters that can not be repaired. The customer service representative said "there was nothing they could do to DeLonghi help me ". R beam a little research that determined that most faults coffee like my problems are caused by a blown fuse or broken thermal heating element. I 'm sure DeLonghi is aware of this possible cause and effect. I opened the bottom of the pot and confirmed that one of the two thermal fuses (SeFuse SF214E) had blown. I decided to change the fuse with a new one to see if the fuse is simply not pre-maturly or failed because of a more significant problem with the heating element. A quick trip to Radio Shack and $ 2 later, I returned home with a new fuse, which took less than 30 minutes to install. Ten minutes later, I finished to make a new pot of coffee for confirmation that the problem with my coffee was a defective thermal fuse. R rit is unfortunate that an appliance is considered irreparable $ 50 by its manufacturer, due to the lack of a share of $ 2. DeLonghi has made bad decision not to stand behind their products. DeLonghi that offers its customers the information that could prevent the unnecessary disposal of their products in landfills fix. For example, if DeLonghi refuse to fix their own product, it could target customers in a local service company that can help diagnose and replace a blown fuse. R rDeLonghi define the life of your product as 1 year, which seems absurd to me any measure of the life of the word. While I hope to keep my coffee DeLonghi working for many years (which makes a wonderful cup of coffee), when it does finally become unserviceable, make sure that my machine will not be a Delonghi close. R rDeLonghi has lost a customer for life.
Simply put this is amazing. The "Convenient Front access " features a large front loading, no more moves to load the coffee maker and water field. Filter that comes with it is very good, it works well and easy to clean. Well timed programmable interface to a pot of coffee in the morning is very easy to use. Much easier to use than other programmable Lunch I've used. I also found the aromatic features is good enough and effective .... Highly recommended.
