If more than one year without problems. It is attached to the wall. Heaters is one of the few that produces no visible light, important for a bedroom. Quiet too. R rthe only thing that heats up faster are quartz heaters, but with the bright red glow on and off all night probably will not work for most people. So this is clearly "the best choice for a bedroom. We operate at low (750 watts), it is a small room and it just seems safer to have it down. Save a lot of money, which in turn oven to 45 F at night and hot during sleep. R GH 'sure would be great for the other rooms, although a quartz heat a little faster.
The heater is quiet and efficient. Perfect for a chilly kitchen. Hope that it lasts. Ordered the extended service just to play it safe.
This is a powerful heater with wheels. Worth the investment for the electric heater. Have a tip on it wont turn off the feature and overheat. will include your bedroom, and it 's slim.
We have worked with the tranquil warmth of this space heating, which we with in a three-season room will be made available to content. To date, outdoor temps registered not less than 28 F, so that their effectiveness in the provision of additional heat of the Iowa winter, when really wants, remains to be examined. However, we are now, enjoy the warmth it provides is just quiet a cool morning or evening.
I am using the heater in a trailer, with time in the 20s at night is is working very well
I bought the HHP1500 Mica panel radiator last winter and loved his uniform heat distribution and compact design. However, when I turned in this year (11 months after purchase), I noticed orange "hot spots" "on the panel. A week later, have launched the" Hot Spots "to throw dangerous sparks. It looks like others have reported this problem with this device.
this radiator panel works great ... for 8 months. it certainly deserves 5 stars as long as it continues to operate. it comes with a 1 year warranty and i will be contacting DeLonghi 's customer service to attempt repair / replace the unit. i 'll update then.
If you 're looking for one of those heaters where you can see the hot orange glow that threatens to burn your skin off, then you will be extremely disappointed with this product. This is a whole-room heater, and a mighty fine one at that. At first, I thought this heater was defective, since I 'm so used to the old-school heaters that are super-hot when you ' re right in front of them and immediately feel the chill when you move away. I practically gave up on it and left the room after 10 mins, and that was when I immediately felt the much cooler air outside. I then realized that this heater had warmed up my entire room evenly, so that there wasn 'ta great difference between being right in front of the heater Vs. on the other side of the room. I like the fact that my toddler won 't burn himself when he touches this heater. We haven 't had the need to turn it on 3rd higher than the lowest setting. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS so that you 'd know how to operate this heater properly. Yes, there are dials and an on-off switches, but read the manual to learn what those numbers mean on those dials. I was looking for a unit with a thermostat read-out before I bought this, but it really doesn 't matter what the numerical value of the temperature is when this heater can be set based on your comfort level, not on a number.
Increase oven temperature without turning on the thermostat. I bought this because I had a consumer 's Report # 1 rating. Warm and comfortable without drying.
I bought this heater about a year ago. I used it just to warm our bedroom 12x12 evening, and my 12x12 home office during the day through the coldest month in Boston. We only use our central heating system during the morning, afternoon and weekends. I followed our accounts, and we actually saved money in both the oil * and * electric bill. The only thing I could imagine is that the oil burner has a lot of electricity to operate. R RI as a room very quiet, so this heater has been perfect. I don 't mind a few minutes heating time. I 've also used the unit in our basement spacious great cold. He can 't heat the entire space, but I put it right next to my flesh. I get hot, and takes the chill off the rest of the room. R years rLast I easily toted to drive back and forth between the bedroom and office every day. This year I'm getting lazy and order a unit 2. Plus I won 't have to get cold in the office, if I work until later when the husband has already gone to bed. Good price, good function, good looks. I can buy a year 3 the next to our room in the basement.
I love this produces heat, but - it 's awkward to try to place beside the wall, in corners etc ... This works best in an area where there is no traffic. My cat hit the side when they fly and spin all the time. Rit would produce a good hot and fast.
These heaters are great, no doubt. But Don 't last. R rBought the first of Amazon, used for several months but then smoked. Literally, the sparks began element. It was under warranty for DeLonghi sent me a new one. Used for a little over a year and then it just stopped working. No smoke, but no heat or anything. R rthe latter was not 't guarantee that the conclusion is that I bought a disposable heater lasted about 2 years for $ 90. I think he should get more out of an appliance.
Within the first year of use I would give the heater glowing reviews. Unfortunately after 1.5 years (1 season of use) the heater has quit working. The manufacture date on the unit is 2007. I called DeLonghi and they will do nothing. That 's it, ninety bucks down the drain. I will not buy a DeLonghi again.
I bought it about a year ago to then-one-year daughter 's room at night. Our central heating systems do a poor job in the bedroom and I want something that can maintain a constant temperature in the room as well leave a few dollars in his wallet for the gas bill. His father and I got a good down-alternative comforter, and my boy got a space heater. R rLike other reviews said great things about this heater is a slim profile, almost silent operation, and rapid heating. I got the night going for a shower, and when he 's ready for his books, the room warm enough and I turned the dial again to set the heater to maintain the temperature for the night. I was deciding between this and "ecoheater " or oil radiator, and went with this because it can easily be moved from place to place and doesn 't stick too much in a room. This is an upgrade from a small fan-powered water heater, and boy what a difference. I hope that a thermostat - it will be fun just to regulate the temperature. However, the only heater in the price range that offers features that are too ugly or too heavy for my tastes. Heating call me arrogant, but I like this one 's physical style looks and slim. It 's one year and we ' re happy with your purchase. Our gas bills that winter was significantly lower than the previous winter.
I ordered 4 of these and absolutely loved them. Silent, but they kick out lots of heat. If I had reviewed this 1 - year ago, I would have given it 5 stars. R rThere is a down side however, and it 'sa big one. One year after buying these two have already died and one is showing signs that it has less than a week to live. A 75% failure rate in 12 months!? It 's too bad. R ri have been made to Delonghi for years and this has been a huge disappointment.
I bought this heater to use in our master bedroom because it was supposed to be totally silent. It is, except when the thermostat turns on and off. As the panel heats up and cools it expands and contracts and case of POPs. If you're a light sleeper like me, the sound of May you wake up.
Firstly, this is not how you normally blow out the water heater. It doesn 't work well for quick warming than you or localized heating. We have had great success with them but had to maintain temperature in the winter. RWE mount them on the wall (unfortunately noted by others the screen is hot, it must be a toddler 's can be achieved) is located and that the room is generally well maintained. If you keep looking for something warm to in a given large cold room ... You need to stay very close and it's really ISN 't good for this purpose. We've found localized infrared emitters for the good work, where these large rooms. RThe legs are extremely light, so it is easy to tip over, although honestly no one ever broke from him, and instead of the transition from room to room, we end up buying more for that reason.
I think the overall positive reviews, which have only discussed the importance DeLousy clear / relevant concerns raised by the sub-par reviews. Oops .... very presumptious of me. I just arrived last week, and the box actually in two other holes .... BECAUSE EVEN WITH the roll packaging tape, the original box can barely hide the product from view. Basic-GRASS WHEELS unit has them (apparently it is used for products sent to me (probably more associated with a Carefree distributor). Then, I have enjoyed "sticker-issue ".... that took 45 minutes to "gentle adhesive remover, " but still removed the paint from this area units. I tried for 3 days ....... what 'trigger issues "MUST FIRE DANGER IS if used on a carpeted surface (there are what appear such as cigarettes or burning matches on the carpet in my office right now. r RSO, if anyone wants to go back to re-use DuhLonghi Mica HHP1500, there currently is one of the 're-sale "on my local Salvation Army Store. .... and yes, I warned them about the product, and they have their supervisor said they would consider whether to sell-off with a warning ... or just trash it. .... and a good product after hearing a review of services customers ... it wasn 't worth the time, energy or anticipate disappointment / frustration, dumb even call these berries.
Design, portability and the heat output of these products is the first level. However, the heating element burns in both units that I ordered during the six-months. Radiator never run for more than two-hours at a time and never at higher settings than the media.
My review title says it all, really. I bought this heater because it was a Consumer Reports Top Pick. And I loved it - effective, operate quietly, easy to use - until it flared up five months after I bought it. Literally. That was after him, probably for six hours a day (excluding weekends) during those five months. One day I saw my cat staring at him curiously, I saw, and suddenly appeared a bright orange patch on the size of a nickel in the vicinity where the power cord into the device, and it was a burning smell. I quickly turned off and unplugged it is. It was a burn mark where the had been flareup. After it was cool, I plugged it in again and tried to turn it on, but it was (and is) permanently dead. R rNeedless say I'm disappointed with the short lifespan of this product and feel appreciated rather happy that I happened to be nearby, and able to move it quickly, if they have decided, at its fatal meltdown. Who knows what damage they could, if I have caused 'd been out of the room.
I loved this heater. It 'sa great mix well with the design for a modern setting. It worked fine for the first winter, is stored in the original box for the summer. We have about 4 months of this year, It 's second winter. It worked quite well to heat a large open room, comfortable anyway. Over It 's decline, increased the cracking during heating and eventually created a lava-like hole 1 1 / 2 "diameter. I thought I saw sparks from that point - probably have retired and that point. It was confirmed A few days later, when my husband and I stuck around and spark wheel about two feet from the unit. We also have a DeLonghi oil filled radiator, purchased at the same time, It 's currently operating. Another critic made a comment about how oil-filled radiators retain their heat after shutdown, which is a great spot for energy savings. r ri 'm very intensive research everything you buy. I look well-designed products functional. I 've noticed recently that even respected brands and product reviews are rarely more than average. It ' s concern that the electronics seem to have 1-4 years of living without affordable options for service or parts . We are better than good experience in recycling and think more about the products of modular design with upgradeable parts.
We bought this product to heat in our playroom over garage. It is a fairly large room (25 'x 15 ') with a 12 'ceiling. This heater does a bang up job warming it up. Simple controls, very safe.
I chose this product based on the Consumer Reports review, and it certainly applies to his reputation. It heats up pretty quickly and can warm a good sized room. It 'sa bit much, however, can be mounted on the wall but it would require a large space for it, too. If I had to choose a heating or adequate size, I would choose the heater. I also like that it ISN 't hard (you may not know that it ' s on if it weren 't for the heat) and does not shine, it makes great use for the night.
Do not buy this product: r1) If you want to use in bathroom. Although description implies that you can use in the bathroom, the manual, and the help line, both state unequivocally that it is dangerous to use near water. Amazon should change the product description. R2) If you actually want to heat a room. I 'm amazed at how little heat actually comes out of this unit. As many have noted, sure, if you stand over it with a blanket to keep in the heat. But if that is the case, I would rather wrap up with my wife. R3) Customer service was slow. Multiple calls and long waits. R rone star. Very disappointing. Sure, we kept it. I might be able to use in garage. Easier to eat the money than send it back.
Nice looking product, but flawed and no longer supported. Have bought two of them used fairly regularly in autumn in winter, both of which work well in closed and open spaces. First died about a month ago - still working light, making regular reduce noise when turning the knob to the heat higher, but didn 't heat. No way to repair, in addition Delonghi has stopped this and will only offer to replace it with a much cheaper model (TCH8590ER) to. Second unit is still working, but ARE blue sparks at times (when we typically a medium temperature) setting, it can lead to larger problems with this kind of flat-panel heating mean that has to Delonghi discontinuous.
