Reviews

This is the second Delonghi heater that I purchased. The first one I had in my basement office for the last 2 years and when my daughter recently borrowed it for his bedroom he loved so much she didn 't want to return it. So I bought this and it works fine. Making my office sensation and toasted without me that to heat the whole basement sound that translates into big savings on heating bills because I work from home 5 days a week.

We got two of them after reading the reviews and really like. They do a great job of heating in all (not like the type of spot heating coil) and it is never too hot to touch. We have two small children and pets and that was a concern of ours. We use them during the night in the bedroom and do a great job of keeping the cold away. During the day, if necessary pull the plug and I roll in the area of life for the day (I 'ma stay at home mom with two kids). So far I 've not noticed an increase in electricity bills, but I can ' t say that we use every day though. So far I 've not used our oven again and I hope not too much, but we ' ll see. All in all I 'm really happy with them and don ' t really any complaints. GL has them turn up in the garage for a few hours to burn off the smell of the original oil and never smell a smell then. Even one of them has a little tick sound but doesn 't bother anyone in our house.

This heater is ok-it doesn 't dry out the air as much as heaters that blow out air. And it heats up the whole room fast. The only thing I don 't like is that the thermostat isn ' t accurate. On setting 2 for example it might make the room 67 degrees or it might make it 73 degrees, and that 'sa big difference.

As my title states this matter will take some time to start warming up the place. For an average room would say 15-30 in a mildly chilly room to get comfortable. It gets hot quickly, but it is radiant heat no fan so the heat will travel up and start heat slowly in your room from the top down. Like everyone here I had the smell of oil, and has earned that way (2x in my case) than the recommended time to burn off completely. ComforTemp (which is suppose to keep your room temperature optimal) for me is like the overdrive on this thing, it means things got hot. I don 't really have a use for it. Yes things will get hot to the touch, but what the heating unit doesn 't? Be careful to return, because it will run hot. R rCONS r r-The thermostat isn 'ta "real " thermostat. This is just a number 1-6. I always leave it in 6th and turn the heater when it gets warm (not think you 'sa good idea to leave a heater unattended even has a timer / thermostat ). So this is not a big deal to me, but perhaps it is for some. R r-The design of the front area it makes things a little front heavy. It 's relatively easy to knock this thing over again if you ' reckless. (note * this is the wheel locked out. if they are locked, the kind of help remedy the problem.) r rPROS r r-quiet r r-a User Flip switch (yes it is important for me, because they are more prone to breakage. I button the unit before moving to it, and over an extended time the button switch always seems to fail. r r-3 Voltage Settings r r-Very good value for the price. r r-radiant heat, so your room does not get a "dry " like the others other heaters. r ri am overall satisfied with this product and would recommend it to a friend.

We bought this heater for our child 's bedroom, which is typically about 5 degrees colder in winter than the rest of the house because it is above the garage. The setting of medium does a great job of keeping the room warm during the night. We have not had any noise or unpleasant smells, like the other reviews mentioned.

Heats closed small and mid-sized rooms very well and without much wait. Perfectly quiet operation is a plus. Oil smell was strong first day, and then vanished. Thermostat working properly and a wide range of settings. No regrets!

I 'ma college student and bought it after my girlfriend suggested I buy an oil filled heater (he is the research on the types and brands for me). Amazon by far is the best deal it and free shipping! I bought it in the heat of my room that I rent a house keeping way too cold for my standards. I am concerned for the heating bill went up in the first month, but it hasn 't gone up where he was noticed. Turn it on for an hour at the most and I shut my door (sometimes less than 20 minutes). My whole room is full of energy and will remain that way all night. R rPlease remember when you first use it (and it states that the direction) that a funny smell and occurs for some users. This will leave though. I'm so happy with my purchase and can highly recommend it to heat a room. I 'm not sure how it has larger area, I thought fine, just reached in the heat of the area.

Have owned a heater like this for five years now. It will not burn you, or a child, but gets very warm. With a box fan next to it to keep air moving within it, three rooms can keep warm all night (64 degrees or above) in coastal NC in one of the this. It will drop in youth here at night sometimes. R rFeel safe for hard liquor will accidentally start a fire with it. Just ordered another one for me are going to let my provider their LP gas tank back as soon as I use almost all the fuel in it. Then, buying my own LP tank. It 's cheaper to use it with my heat pump rather than just the heat pump alone. The LP for backup heat, Stay comfortable no matter how cold it gets or if the power grid should fail. R RUpdate: Do not understand the negative reviews outlining many problems. Received my second oil filled heater, tested it for many times and found it to good work as one is used for many years now. Have owned many kinds of electric heaters. Such as oil filled units best. Do not think going to my home in one run. It has an overload / high temp safety automatic shutoff for safety.

Our Delonghi heater has been working great. Our heat pump went out in a spare room, it was really cold weather. When heater came, we plugged in with both heater and it is going. In minutes, the room was warm; soon, we turned off the heat and let it do the takes over. We have had an old Delonghi for twenty years or so. The whole family have used it from time to time. This new one is just as good and seems like it cost less than our old, original heater. If we ever need another, Delonghi is what we are buying.

We were impressed with this unit. It 's has made a diffrence in our increasingly difficult to heat the front room. A lot of heat levels to choose from, you 'sa winner!

Great product. I'll let you know more if it leaks oil or units of the electricity bill. Great for my computer room, a cold spot in our house.

This is the second DiLonghi radiator space heater I bought. The first one is for my large basement studio, Which rarely goes above 55 degress F. My husband appropriated it during this long, cold winter, force me to purchase a new one for Valentine 's Day. R rPros: Although the heat, safe temperature. You can touch the radiator while it 's use and not burn yourself. It is safe for smaller rooms, too. Silent! One to hold the edge is welcome to drag it. R rCons: It takes a while to heat up, Which will understand. After all, without forced air, no fire, and more. It is also an energy hog. The lights dim slightly when you open it, and no chance that running the treadmill and the heater at the same time. The second would also hold a great idea, Which will allow it brought easier. R rThis heater is beautiful, though. It 's safe, adjustable and reliable. I recommend it for anyone!

I bought this heater as a back up for extra cold days. Iam very pleased with it. This heats up the room aa very effective and takes the chill out of a room fairly quickly. DeLonghi that stand on their reputation.

I had this heater for less than a year and suddenly it stopped working. Even though it worked great for the time it lasted, I didn 't know it was supposed to be disposable!

This heater (1500.900.700 W) ramps the temperature of the room. very slowly. When up, setting 6, it increases the temperature of 1 degree every 2 HR. That's when outside temp. 11deg is the room size is 26x12 with an open kitchen + hall. I put the heater near the door and slide the thermometer across the room, 25ft away. It works best in the 13 x 11 square feet of classroom. Sometimes, if I want to warm the room more quickly, I used a fan to blow heat over an hour. It helps. Better get a heater to high heat and use it to maintain. R When we sleep, we set at 3 min with the settings and it 's very comfortable. Sometimes when the outside temperature drops dramatically at dawn, we are cold cause the heater doesn 't feel the actual temperature of the room. The thermostat is set using the dial. R the end of 'heat when you touch is like touching a cup of boiling water. There isn 'burning. I need to put my hand 2 inches away from feeling the heat from the side and 1 or 2 feet feel at the top. I 'm not afraid to have this hot around my 2 yr old. R r What I don 'is like the stench. I can still smell it when it 's on high. This unit also doesn 't cut when reversing. The move is practical with the wheel, but a handful would be beneficial. Sometimes I almost reverse when I drag too fast. Beware also if you have children, I caught my son after trying for his card games slot between the fins.

This is a wonderful product. It has been the saving grace for me this winter. I am not sure how energy efficient it is. I will have to wait for my next electricity bill to know. However, it has really heated my space quite comfortably and it is very quiet. I am pleased with my purchase.

Purchased this unit based on comments, and my brother 's recommendation. So far I'm satisfied! We are residents of Florida and it does work on the nights cooler. It produces a very gentle heat and comfortable.

I tried it in my room and it is a very good heating system, as it does what it 's will. Very quiet, I forget it 's even there () to my older heating in comparison. I have children in the house, and what was I was worried that she would get burned on it. The heater is hot (heat also depends on your settings), but it's kind of waiting for the warmth that you have at your hand there for a few seconds before a burning feeling. Highly recommended to anyone you replace or buy a new heating system.

When the product was delivered, it was clear that he has been used before. But as it does not work as described, we decided to keep it. C 'd be nice is if Amazon, but notes somewhere in the product description that his condition is not new.

I 've had an older model, but similar 6507L for 7 years - still works perfectly without incident. For a quick warm-up, I set the thermostat for more heat and use a DeLonghi DAP110F electrostatic air cleaner to gently blow air through the fins. The combo is quiet and efficient. Any low-speed fan has to work for a quick warm-up, but the air cleaner is beautiful in my room limited. Also nice is that the fan can be turned off and the thermostat turned down to a near-silent operation, once the room is up to temperature. A little 'experiment will pay dividends for years to come.

I put this heater in a small bedroom. It is very slow to heat the room ... as in slow hours. You have to turn it on wayyy before (hours) before you go to bed. And be sure to close the door to the room. If your house is drafty this heater probably won 't satisfy you. It might might be ok for a bathroom. Don 't expect it to heat a large family room. It gets very hot to touch. R r RUPD (Two Months Later): It 's working ok in a small bedroom. You have to turn it at least an hour before you go to bed and close the door to the room. It 's quiet.

This is a steady performance in a stable controlled by thermostat (I mostly use setting # 3) economic and stove. I prefer this model for DeLonghi "Dragon 'because ' s most effective if you use the first floor and climbed up to 2. The air "Dragon " what is pumping hot very actively on the floor above, while this model are very reasonable heat distribution side. It 's not to heat up while you sit close, but to heat the whole room when you have the device continuously. Rother obvious advantages - no noise, only clicking sounds sweet when thermostat turns heating elements on / off and no initial burning smell reported by others (maybe just my luck). Rather elegant thing to watch. Perfect for a secluded room, although I also use in a salon is always open to the stairs.

Heaters are great and they like the free shipping, but it was the day after I get them for ten Dollor cheaper at Wal-Mart (always happen to me)

I got this product at a better price than Wal-Mart and it was delivered in a single day, free shipping. It performs well and meets our needs perfectly.

My wife and I live in a 3bdrm 2bath home in northeast GA with central heating unit. We bought this unit because natural gas is very expensive because of deregulation. We put in our study, where we both spent a lot of time, and close the heating vents. This unit heats up 10 x 20 room itself. It is difficult to measure the savings because natural gas prices will fall, but I believe that our overall savings will make the unit cost of the purchase value, especially from time to time.
