Reviews

I can 't say much on the quality of espresso made with this machine since I ' m such a beginner (and couldn 't even have a decent grinder). However, I can say with some confidence that the steam wand on this machine is too short for any quantity of milk steamed ordinary. There isn 't even reach the bottom of stout pitcher twenty ounce. I also 't understand the bulky piece of plastic around the end of the stick: why not just leave the ends bare as some other machines I ' ve seen? It looks and feels awkward. R rSince I 'm mostly about the cappuccino, I had to return the product. What a shame.

Oct/09 bought the DeLonghi EC155 espresso maker. My old (steam) system was dead ... I wanted a good espresso maker value without spending a lot of money. While researching the products it became clear that a '' pump manufacturer was the most preferable action. This product seems to have good reviews and a great price. R Rafter using the product for several weeks, I recommend it. Clearly the best value for money and makes excellent espresso! On the negative side there is enough space between the peak and my cups of coffee that made me buy new 'minor ' cups of espresso ... a small price to pay for a great cup of espresso.

I recently replaced my old tried and true with the coffee maker DeLonghi EC155. We looked for the perfect machine to meet our needs. What we were looking for was: reinsurance of cleaning. 10 rQuick 10 rCompact 10 storage rWater 7.5 Rabl use portions 10 rThis machine takes half the length of time that 'heat. The carafe of water is fairly easy to achieve. It 's small in design, and the milk frother works great and is easy to clean. Now my husband is my milk every morning!

It makes espresso overcomes the flaws of other low-cost machine: It uses a system of bomb to force fluid in the yard, So making espresso instead of coffee. R rit is reliable, reasonably attractive, compact and very cheap. R rthe flaws are: r - It is cumbersome and time consuming to pre-heat the water you need, though not bad once you practice for a while. R - attaching and releasing the basket in the yard is effortful. R - The height limit between spout above and below the platform allows only a very short cup to receive the kind of coffee. R - If one fills the water tank while it is still on the machine, any non-aiming Allows water to pass between the parts of the tank and the housing area of tank, Which causes mold watter to flow directly through a hole in the bottom of the housing and flood onto the countertop. R also resume, if low cost is the main decision driver, this is the best low cost machine I found. If you can afford more money and Counterspace, move.

This machine makes superb espresso! The milk steamer is a bit inconsistent and Water Drips from it when I 'm making the espresso, but the coffee itself is well worth it.

For the price you can not do better than the espresso machine. Removable water container. Solid design and construction.

So I have this product Christmas '08, and wanted to wait to get it checked to judge It 's lifetime. RThis has been a great little machine, and delivered an excellent coffee while it lasted, but now 9 months later, he's practically dead. I'd say if this is your first espresso machine, and You 're not sure how much use you will get out of it, this is a good start for the money. I used this machine every day for a single latte for the past nine months, and I just Don 't think it is this type of environment for routine use. So now I can move to a more serious piece of machinery. Vehicle everything seems pretty well done. It's a pain for more than 2 cups of coffee with him (slow and dirty). You could throw two cups at a time (as shown in picture), if your looking for in 1 oz shots (which is very small indeed - I Don 't make a strong coffee, and I need 3 oz of coffee) . Minimum SAR team little good, excellent for the money, it will not last forever whether it be an espresso maker Avid.

My husband loves coffee and he was missing, an espresso machine for a year. As our first Christmas together as husband and wife, I wanted him, but was about how clueless a good choice. RThis machine is not professional quality, but it is very good for a household, it is not too much to keep working, and it makes very good coffee. R Ryou have to turn it on before the time is not warm, but as with all espresso machines. You need to clean them regularly, so that the filter (blood clots but not every day we use an old toothbrush), and you must be careful that they do not dry. He still holds about 1-2 inches of water in the reservoir. When it's dry out, the pump will have a hard time starting over again, but it's no big deal, you just passed, until the water is kept ready to win, to go. R R I have some bad reviews for this product and I read was a little nervous about it. But we are dealing with almost a year and it works well for us.

I was skeptical that a low-(or medium-low) priced machine could work well, but it turns out that it works brilliantly. Some previous reviewers have noted a few areas of concern (all very minor), and I will offer my solutions to them: r r1. The spout doesn 't allow for anything taller than an espresso cup or coffee cup very short: Not a big deal for me (our cups are short and wide and hold all the espresso you could handle and still hope to get to sleep that night ), but if you want to use a standard-sized mug, simply pick up the perforated steel plate that the cups sit on and place your mug into the well below. If there 's liquid in the well, just wipe off the cup when you pick it back up. r r2. No cup warmer: Two solutions here. I use the "quick " warm-up method stated in the manual by running two cups of water through the machine before inserting the grounds, and the hot water heats up the cup easily. Otherwise, if you let it warm up for the traditional 15-30 minutes, the cups sit on the steel area on top of the machine, Which serves as its cup warmer, just like it says in the manual. r r3. Frothing spout too close to the countertop: Either get a shorter, wider pitcher (I 've actually been using a 16 oz. Pyrex measuring cup and it fits just fine), or - if you ' re good - find a Place where you can put the machine at the left edge of the counter so that the spout overhangs. You could then use a pitcher all the way down to the floor if you like. But I like the short-wide idea better. r r4. Built-in tamper: Yeah, kinda lame. Go spend 4 bucks on a metal one. r rAnyway, even at full price (which I didn 't pay), this machine will pay for itself after 25-30 cups of $ 4 fill-in-the-blank-coffee-shop cappuccino / latte / whatever, counting consumables.

This machine is impressive. I love this. Rthe thing for me to another drawback is the machine itself is not very large, rsometimes it 's not very practical when you ' re boiling the milk / making the gel using the pipe rste. Other than that, it 'is an impressive machine.

The espresso machine rocks when you consider how cheap it is. True, I 've used much better machine, but as a poor college student, this machine is perfect. It 's really small, which is perfect for a bedroom or small flat. Just make sure all the accessories you buy for it's small. Ex - don 't buy a jar foam larger than 12 ounces, it won ' t fit under the wand. R RMY complaints would be how much it shakes when you pull your shots. I literally have a hot shot glasses in my position to keep them moving. In addition, the end of the bubble wand is that big plastic thing, which makes it very difficult to see what you 're doing, and exactly how to milk you are. Lastly, when you empty the coffee, it 's not a solid brick that you can just beat out the trash. It 's too soft, then you really have to use a spoon to get all that. R rthe good things are as easy to clean, and that makes a beautiful crema. It 'sa huge money saver for me to make my coffee with milk at home. I recommend this to anyone looking for a machine on a budget.

I've never owned an espresso machine and wanted to learn how to make latte 's and such. I did a little research and for the price, and options chosen this. I love it! I was a Starbucks junkie and now learned to make great latte's, Cappachino 's, ect. I'm having a blast and save money. I had a problem when using the wand to foam in another review. I just use a mountain of shoe my milk or picture book to fix the machine to the height I want. If I had one small complaint would be that you have to use a cup really small when you call the clogs. There are only about 2.5 cm away, but nothing that can not be circumvented. All in all, you can 't beat the price and ease of use. BTW I actually use shell (even though they cost a little more), but it saves on the mess of soil Express, and I have to press (expands to the ground once I stock Express pods and save more). .... If you are a beginner and want to save some money, and learn how this is done, this is a good little machine to start. You will soon start to save some money and find out what Starbucks is doing is not rocket science.

Illy Coffee, or maybe Lavazza. And use an espresso grind, no finer or courser. This is important. However, I make a mix from the Turkish grind espresso grind and that worked well also. There are a lot of coffee blends out there, and it may take several tries to find a good one that produces a good taste. Has nothing to do with the quality of the machine, but the qaulity of coffee. You can try the grocery store, but the chance, they won 't have a good quality espresso bean class there. Do nothing to me. I will buy a can of pre-ground Illy espresso. It 's good, but far too expensive (approx. $ 30/lb). We have a local coffee roaster and espresso blends are they good or better for $ 12 a pound. R rdo not dump too hard. I was tamping a bit too hard. If you need to know, press the button on a bathroom scale to about 30 pounds, it was less and more than you think. The dump is right make a big difference. Basically, I have it down, place the coffee basket (single or double, they both acts), press slightly to level, after a little pressure and a twist to smooth the skin. It takes a bit of practice to get a firm but level, smooth pack. Then just push any excess or from the side to the basket and you are ready. R Rone other little things, shooting splitter. I'm not sure I'm impressed with it. It doesn 't appear consistent enough to pull 2 uniform single shots at the same time. I am skeptical of this feature in any unit, not just one. R rmy machine is ready within 5 minutes, then I pull an empty shot or two. Then load the bullet and pull that one. It is not like some 15 to 45min, and though the book says. However, the time of books can Promote some nuances, which may make some difference to some degree, I personally just don 't really about care. Give me my coffee and shut. R rthe diameter of the basket is 54mm r rBuy to tamper. The integrated one is not that great. Difficult to get a proper pack. RA 52mm tamper I think is the perfect size. I am using a meat mallet (smooth side, duh) rthat is 50mm and it works just fine. R Ron under the basket is a knob that you can remove for cleaning. Ease completely and then tighten the only point of tension. This will allow getting better. R rfind, buy or get the 2 oz espresso shot glass. This is done to measure the shot much easier r rWhen pulling a shot, depending on the pack and the grind, be about 15-17 seconds for a double. About 7 to 10 sec for a single. R kilogram pulling a shot at removing the basket, yes, you can see that coffee is wet, with water above, and sometimes a little soupy above. But, it really is not as big a deal as others can make them to be. It still pulls a great shot. Again, this is not your Steam Powered Espresso Machine. R rThis is much, much, much, much better. R rthe lever to hold the basket when emptying is a little quirky. However, once you learn how to use it, it really helps in preparing a second shot quickly. R rthe frother, however, may be an issue. And I am still working on it. It 's not perfect, but it does not work. Not something I tend to use, as I drink iced latte and iced coffee. It has a tendency to pump water through, instead of steam, if it is not warmed up properly. It might just be my unit. However, be a deal breaker for some, if the same experience. Do not want to use an emtpy glass or something to ensure that the tubing is clear first. This one will get the start, it seems ok for a bit. But again, it takes time to heat up, so, it could be where and why the book states the time frame. Again, can I pull a hot shot completely in less than 5 minutes though. Steaming milk is a different kuwento.Sa think (because I haven 't tried it) if you open it to heat steam side for about 15 minutes, the clear tubing, steam / froth the your milk, and then pull the shot, it may be fine. R rWith said that, if you still your old steam engine, and it did a good job of Frothing milk, if you see a ship inadaquate, then keep the other as a frother, that is what I'm doing. R ri say, buy the machine and test it yourself. The shots are very, very good. Not a steam engine out there can even come close. R pirate of all, for money, it's not a bad machine. Yes, you can do better, but you will spend 2-10 times the money. Rif you have money to spend, and then get a better machine. If not, this machine is actually equivalent. R R4 stars for ease of use, quality of the shot, lost one and for the frother wand is short. R rIced Latte r r24oz mug, cup, or something r2 x double espresso shots r2 1 / 2 scoops of sugar (splenda if you can not help it) Rif mocah want to use 1 1 / 2 scoops of sugar (or to taste) and 1 scoop chocolate syrup rAbout 1 cup ice r rput sugar in the mouth, pull 2 double espresso shots, and pour in face rStir until dissolved, pour into ice and stir until a cold, then pour the milk in the r rBetter than Starbucks (or their frapaccino cra - a bottle), as well as Carribou Cafe, Coffee shop or any other. And cheaper ... ..

I just bought this coffee maker a few months ago, after thorough investigation. Espresso makes delicious. It is easy to use and easy to clean too. The only problems I had with him are: 1) the water tank started leaking last week so I get home and have water across the counter. 2) The steam wand is too low to fit into a glass so I have to put my milk in a bowl to cook it. 3) You have to have a mug really short or else use a bowl to fit under the drip coffee. I'll have to return the machine, due to leakage of water, but otherwise I love this machine.

This is a sweet machine, easy to use, make my wife MOCASE quickly anytime, next I 'm saving $ 7 buck per week MOCASE, work as advertised? I 'm really happy with this machine!

I bought this coffee

I have to agree with the majority here. The machine works perfectly well. Really much, much better than expected! I still managed to pull two good, strong (very strong for my taste anyway) from two shots off a full basketball (two teaspoons pounded pretty tight) and make my first shot 4x homemade white mocha! It was as good as what I get from my favorite coffee shack, (The hand of the owner picks and their own baked beans so I buy them by the pound or two of them) or the work of our coffee at home. Probably helps that I have a burr grinder and grind the coffee can for my notebook right before I take. R rthe steam wand isn 't that much of a pain. I found that a pattern of 12-20 oz Frothing Pitcher Krups fits very well with him. For the price, this machine can not be beat! And now it 's $ 15 cheaper than what I paid for it! At the moment I'm "extremely happy with my purchase! Yes, I 'm excited, can ' t you tell by all the exclamation marks ?!?!?!!: M pi 'just a little too hopped up coffee, now, LOL! R ras a side note: I do not seem to get a soupy mess as some others mentioned in the media when I 'm done, I get a nice disk. r rto Steve Smith: r rRegarding his complaint on the grounds basket falling into the trash when you empty it. The secret is, there is increased sa 'the plastic handle that you have to turn and handle with your thumb while empty it to keep the basketball the support he does not fall, how could you miss this? It is also useful if you like washing the rationale for the crusher. r RTIP r r1. I recommend getting a good burr grinder like this: Capresso 558 / 01 Burr Coffee Grinder and grinding fresh before maturing, which makes all the difference in the world! takes a little longer, but it 's well worth the wait. r r2. To speed things up, I keep coffee pre ground-in refrigerator in an airtight container, and my un-ground beans in an airtight container route. It keeps the coffee nice and cool. Do not store or coffee beans in the freezer or it will ruin the coffee beans! Especially defrost ! r r3. If you love ugly white like me, you can buy a mixture of white chocolate powder straight Ghirardelli for only $ 19.95 shipped to your door via UPS. Mine is here in 2 days! They also make the syrup, but it 's around $ 24.95 transferred to a 64 oz bottle.

I have had 2 of espresso machines that did not hold up so well and this one is a beast! I firmly believe that this one will stand the test of time over the years and makes great espresso to boot. A couple things that I don 't like about it, which is no big deal now is 1. Hardly enough room for the milk pitcher to sit under the unit and 2. The water fills the tank is a bit small and try to refill it every other day because it can get quite an attitude if you run it out of water.

This is step up from non-bomb making but hardly more expensive for big boost in coffee quality. He uses the craft of milk every morning, too, and sips away from his professional-looking cup full. Only little problem is how much force is needed to lock the little basket in place, it really feels like we are going to break something to get the unit to its full-closed position.

This is a great machine! Easy to use, fast, and above all, makes a fine cup of espresso as good as I have been everywhere. The espresso comes into force, full-bodied, rich and very creamy. The price is high. I am not making a cappuccino, but I used the frother for friends, and works very well, too. I have recommended to Italian espresso addict, and I loved him so much (after swearing I would only use a stove-top moka machine), it 's to buy a second office . C 'is also compact and looks nice. The instructions are a little intimidating at first, but you 'll find out in 5 minutes. (Use the second method - quick setup - it 's better all around). You 'll fall in love.

I ordered this, after much research and am very happy. It 's easy enough for the job and makes a terrific cup of espresso with a nice head of foam. For 2 people, it 's perfect. I can only repeat what many others have complained about the length (or lack thereof) of the wall, requiring very little to get a jug for frothing milk. So, remember to "bleeding " the first wall of foam the milk. But once I understood the peculiarities of the machine, I 've had a fantastic cup every morning!

I tried the Hamilton Beach which is a little less money but returned it as it wouldn 't steam properly. I 've tried some of the more expensive machines as well. It is little machine is great and always makes a big steam for my cappuccino! Buy one and enjoy, it 'sa great value for money.

We bought this for my office we have about 4 PEOPLE. Easy to work, gives a great Espresso. You need to use IT ON 5 times before it tastes very nice, you have to break the machine in. Easy to clean.

Making decent espresso but not dark enough. Easy to use. If you 're buying this machine for making Cappucino, find something else. It 't the froth the milk properly. No way!

No First machine 't last 6 months, replaced DeLonghi - 2nd No. Machine ' t last 4 months, was replaced. I am in the third ... who is acting and is not sure that will last 8 months. I will not buy this brand again.
