Reviews
I had this machine in the mail last week. My previous Mr. Steam Engine espresso machine died after about six months of use. I decided to take a better machine because the cheaper units use boilers led to the aluminum construction. I attended the M.. Coffee and I could see there was some corrosion in the bottom of the boiler, which means that I drink coffee contaminated aluminum. No thank you. R RNOW, back to the DeLonghi. The first day that I used, I hated. I was going to return it, but didn 't' have time right now. The coffee was weak and the liner didn 't quite cut it. I make two cups of cappuccino in the morning and had to keep the close button of steam and wait for the light on OK to return. I learned to keep the steam button and to open more than Turn 1 / 4, which is recommended. It smokes very well milk this way. I also don 't like having to empty the grounds and fill the filter basket to get a full track Quad Shot of espresso strong. (I spent one and French roast coffee beans and use bottled flavoring. What seems to be the best coffee if I want coffee flavored). I like the fact that I can make a cup of decaffeinated coffee for my wife, then a cup of lead for myself soon. It just took a little experimentation to get it right, since instructions Don 't cover the nuances of the machine. I'm really happy that I now Delonghi chance. Whenever I use it, I love him more. The only reason I don 't you give 5 stars is that the filter basket must be really a bit bigger. Then I could make espresso for two cups of stalkinstarr without having to fill the basket. The steamer is too small to be able to steam milk in a bowl of decent size. I like using the cup that I drink coffee from, and it doesn 'Fit T. I can tilt the cup to come to the end of the nozzle, but couldn 't do it once frothed milk without spilling some. The machine must be lifted a little to get the mug Out. But I can live with that. I highly recommend this espresso maker. It works very well when you get the hang of it.
I love this machine. In fact, I need a second machine for my office so I bought both exactly the same. It 'sa great price and it makes good coffee. After reading some other reviews I have to admit that perhaps foamy milk ISN 't really hot.
This is a great machine for the price. It produces a nice espresso and nozzle works great. Super easy to use and keep clean.
I have had this machine for about 2 months and am very happy with the mochas I can make at home. The espresso has that beautiful creamy consistency, and the steamer for the milk produces great foam. I find the machine easy to use and clean. I am able to make mochas equivalent to the best coffee bars. This is a great machine and a great value.
Like many of you, I pored over the Amazon customer reviews of many of my espresso makers before making a purchase. I replaced the cheap coffee Mr. device that is a lemon. I've made espresso and cappuccino for years to use the article class department store that comes with four (black)-cup teapot and control consists of on-off switch and the steam valve, and I am very satisfied with the taste of the product. However, I can never reproduce the beautiful crema from the espresso I enjoyed in Italy or from our baristas better in the United States but it was only a compromise aesthetics. Other customers 'comment prompted me to consider a pump-driven espresso maker, so I took a chance with this one: it was in the middle price range, and most customers were satisfied with the results they get, although some clearly unhappy people people buy the device that damaged and was not satisfied with the DeLonghi 's customer service. For me, so far, so good and I am pleased with the results. Despite making a DeLonghi espresso requires a little more attention than the basic models are cheaper I 'd get used to, it is a small compromise. This machine makes great espresso and beautiful. Because the water taken from a 35-oz. reservoir, you will not be until all the water you 've poured into the engine running (as you can with a machine that just holding a cup of water in the reservoir), but you have to wait up to turn off the water flow through the page when you ' ve made enough. Therefore, you can make espressos as strong or weak (against the logic!) As you wish. Don 't worry, you "wait " would amount to less than one minute. Rthe simple controls, but efficient. Silver button on the front has four positions, left to right: water vapor for preheating - off - preheating water to drink coffee - water that flows through the coffee. A red light indicates that the energy heating element. A green light indicates that the water has reached the desired temperature for steaming or coffee, depending on the mode you 've selected. Valve / button on the machine set the flow of steam through a nozzle to froth your milk. Rthe foamed milk nossel is superior to any I have ever used. The foam immediately starts and is a very efficient process. When the frothed milk, click the control button for more than two positions and you will probably find that the temperature of the water is ready to make coffee immediately. Less than a minute later, you 're done. Rthe DeLonghi not come with a pitcher of milk froth. There are bound tamper-reasons that are convenient estimate. My only complaint is that when making an espresso, a few drops of water tends to drip out of the milk foam nozzle, as if there was a minor by a leak-valve. Thus, prior to froth milk, I dry the steam line into a separate cup to clean teaspoon to one tablespoon of water from steam lines before stated. RI am delighted with this DeLonghi espresso maker and highly recommend it.
by the money paid, it works pretty well, do not use espresso grounds is not more pressure to the machine as you might think, but has a decent shot if used for reasons of consistency calls (normal ground coffee), vapor of good works, as the deposit for water, need time to get to temp.
This machine is very fast and consistent. Cream at all times. This is the third espresso maker that my husband has been used (the others died of natural death of old age after 3-4 years.) And is the best.
It does everything I 'd hoped it. Quick and easy espresso, cappuccino and latte. It would very well have been a 5 star if it had a self-extinguishing. I have to watch the cup to see when he 's done. A very small inconvenience to be sure. I do not like. The fact that it is a factory refurbished and I bought for half the retail price makes me very happy.
I recently purchased the Delonghi BAR32 Retro Pump-Driven Espresso Maker, which was previously owned. The machine is relatively low, it takes no more space than a standard coffee maker, and the heat quickly. I am able to heat the water hot enough to warm my coffee MUG SHOT before pulling within two minutes of light. I had no training as a barista and have never used an espresso machine before. I found the instructions supplied with the manufacturer to be lack luster, but quite informative on the basics of operating the machine. I found it easier if research on the Internet and by asking a friend for some coffee enthusiast. R r firing a single shot of espresso is fast and simple. I found that if I ask for my coffee to grind the beans just below the typical setting for espresso (a little coarser) the flow is constant and produces a wonderful cream. As far as pulling a double shot, I have not had any trouble. I use about a full ball and a ball a little less complete, without crushing, and Tampa, and just enough to level the beans in the filter. (Very slightly), I think I timed the only shot about 25 seconds, and twice around 30-35 seconds. And look at the SHOT MORE THAN THE TIME. When the color changes from dark brown caramel, it usually takes a few seconds to just over in the light of a candy Ivory / white color. That 's when I turn it off. I let the cup sit in time to avoid damage to drip or two (even with the tray, I don 't like Mess ...) then I remove the cup and turn the knob to steam. It takes a minute or two to get hot enough to steam. I 've read a good cream will hold a teaspoon of sugar and cream provided by the BAR32 is simply this. R rSteaming MILK took some practice. I suggest investing in a pitcher of foam. Being able to move the vessel (ideally, the pitcher) in the freezer to cool before adding the milk seem to help. I 've used skim and whole milk and skim foam seems best. The rod is sensitive foam, but I 've found that placing the head of the stick in the middle of the pitcher with the pitcher receives the threshold to start to grow microfoam (starts to stretch the milk) and keeping the wand just under the surface of the milk (if you hear a type "sipping " noise) extends MILK enough. If the bubbles become too large, the inclination of the launcher if the vortex of the milk itself as a vortex, then stretch it until the pitcher is almost too hot to hold.I do not think it necessary to use a thermometer. Once you 're done, let stand a few seconds before pouring into the espresso. I 've also added some flavor in the syrup before you foam milk. R meu in all, I 've found this to be an abettor of easy to use, easy to clean, and that makes a great espresso / cappuccino / latte. The only question I 've had is the steam wand begins to fall back to right after pushing the left to steam milk. I do not burn the first time I used it because I don 've noticed it swaying. R ri read that the machine should be descaled, but only all "uses 300 " which for me would be about once a year. I won 't have to try this until about next March. R ri recommend this product ...
Works well for the price. A good espresso makers, milk steamers Although slightly difficult to get right, especially with fat-free milk.
This is a great machine Expresso the price range. I brought it for my wife two Christmas 'past and he loves it. It makes big creama and good frooth.
I became a Starbucks Junkie for the birth of my second child now 8th My mom got me my first Mr. Coffee espresso steam-driven espresso machine. I killed it within a year and a half. So it stepped up and got another Mr. Coffee that heated with steam-driven cup rack (that was not discontinued shortly after buying it for the issue) It stopped producing hot espresso, so it because it has warranty they sent me another steam-driven, which died 6 months later. R RI researched long and hard and it paid Delonghi Bar32 in February 2005 for $ 169 and get 2 years of warranty for $ 29 I fell in love. The cup of brewed coffee is stronger, with Crema. The steam frother worked great. I 've used pods and ground espresso (bur groundworks BEST) interchangeably. Because I want it to last I clean it regularly, but 7 years ago, it started not accepting the ground coffee. And the pods are brewed not stay as hot. I 've used this machine just about daily that all the machines I had. Needless to say .... my machine has died. The frother still works great, can I take coffee using pods, but these are only Luke warm. DeLonghi I called for help and they told me that my warranty has expired, and with no repair shop in Georgia. The problem is that the bombs could be dead. So I find. I paid for 155 and Delonghi will order it in a few days. My rating then. RBut the machine, it is GREAT .... just wanted it to me a little of it than I hope for 5 years ... I got my money 's worth. Starbuck quality. I could pull some shots from the machine without problems. Machine is certainly priced right and you'll get a good quality. It made me happy for his time with me. You are happy with its décor and its performance? It is 3 1 / 2 years with me, saving close to $ 800 a year if you are the customer I ..... This is great!
this was a gift for my son and his wife. They are thrilled with it and have enjoyed using it imensely. Thanks
I 've had this unit for about two weeks, and it works extremely well for the price. I 've had trouble getting a double pull even with two cups. Tamping the puck more strict and careful (even) seems to reduce the problem. Machine makes great espresso. I don 't think you can beat it for the price. R rUpdate: Have you use this machine for a month now and no complaints. It works perfectly every time. Easy to maintain and clean.
This is my espresso machine 3 because they tend to go kaput after a year or two. This is the best I 've bought so far. I love how cute it is, and I 'm glad it isn ' t like heavy and big as my last (a Starbucks Barista one). The container of water is the right format. It 'sa medium sized, and fits on the back of the machine so that only grasp and fill it (the car was behind Barista espresso filter it with the handle, so you always had to take this path before). Also heats up easily. Just switch the dial and wait for the light to turn. This is my 1st pump "machine (as opposed to steam-driven and less expensive) and made a cream that is a caramel-colored foam on top of espresso shots. It 's like a little' foam without using the cappuccino. In fact, I don 't think it will use the nozzle on the machine, as was a large piece of plastic that looks like it would get clogged with milk and' hard to clean (another reviewer said I took part plastic off and only used the metal rod in itself that I could try). As is usually just add a dash of milk and sugar to the espresso, which is revealed as a strong flavored coffee. If you love the taste drink Starbucks, that 's the flavor will get delivered. Just buy any brand of dark roasted coffee and ground coffee in a small electric grinder for espresso / extra fine and you ' ll get a great tasting cup! so you know The photo shows 2 cups of espresso mini, but you can adapt the normal American-style (great!), coffee mugs in it (my older, oversized coffee mugs are too big, though).
I bought this machine so I could stop spending so much money buying coffee every morning. It 's very easy to use, once you find out, but takes some practice to pack the grounds. The steam wand seems a little short and needed to get a strong pitcher for frothing. In general, I 'm happy with my purchase.
I bought this product as a gift for my father. He has some friends with expensive espresso makers and he wanted one, but I wasn 't going to spend over $ 1000 for his first one. I gave it to him and during the first weeks time he used it to a minimum 20th This is a great machine for the price and makes a good espresso. He also got compliments from her friends with expensive espresso makers. If you are hesitant to buy what you can have some assurance that it is a good product.
I was steam-driven espresso machine for this and the difference is like night and day. I 'd recommend this machine because one doesn ' t really take that long to heat the water and two large steam wand works. I 'd recommend something to get to establish whether the machine on which rises a little - It ' sa bit difficult to get the pitcher of foam in the steam pipe if Don 't it a bit noisy, but remember that 's with pumping and won ' t take more than a few minutes to make a mocha (my favorite). Highly recommended.
I am in no way an expert, but I like Espresso Espresso 's and cappuccino ' s cafeteria area 's. Therefore, the idea for me to buy my own espresso machine to enjoy them in the comfort of my own home. Being the person I am, I did my extensive research to be sure I have the best espresso maker for my budget. This DeLonghi had the best overall reviews on Amazon & Macy 's, (which is where I bought it on sale). I even found lots of tips, hints, and tips on how to make perfect espresso and foam. Unfortunately, I never found what little was mentioned the complexity of what needs to prepare a cup of espresso verses of a cup of coffee. Unlike a normal coffee you just add coffee and water, flick the switch and continue their business until it 's ready, an espresso maker, or at least this, you must be there all all foam and espresso making, turning knobs in the process. For now, I have all that, I was a little nervous to enjoy espresso and certainly didn 't need more of a jolt "". At that time, I needed a soothing tea. I 'm sure it is a good espresso / cappuccino maker, but not for the person "on the fly " coffee. This is the refund and I will leave the coffee / cappuccino to professionals in the cafe 's where they can sit and enjoy it.
We had this unit for almost two years. This works very well and we agree with almost everything said in the other positive reviews. We have three things we 'd like comments. First, the exact grind that you select when you grind your beans makes a huge difference in the espresso you get out of the machine - ours is pretty unforgiving grounds that are either too fat or too thin. Change the packaging of coffee in the holder doesn 't seem to be to get the wrong grinding. When we grind to the grocery store so we set it 'espresso fine ', the second best level after Turkish. R rSecond our commitment foam broke and it was $ 19 plus fees for another! It was a total rip off, but we need ... R rThird, two years after the frothing wand is leaking more and more every espresso during the draw. This problem gets worse and worse slowly. As one of the other reviews have said, we keep something under the baton to catch the drip. I'm not sure what is causing - the water can be hard? R rAnyway, the manufacturer before we steam unit. Never again - we're sold on the pump.
I bought my car almost two years ago. It 'been a great car. My wife and I have milk 's for breakfast every day. I take the easy way out and just heat the milk (cream for my wife) in the microwave. I'm down to be able to do two, 8 oz Lattes in 12 minutes. It 'used to take me that long to make the drip coffee maker. R week rLast a contractor was doing some work in our kitchen and I fixed a cup, was swept away. He said it was the best cup of coffee he'd ever had. I felt that there would be ruined for Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks now. Ordered the BAR 32 the next day. R RWE liked the car so much, we bought a coffee grinder of correspondence, which is also a great value. R machine rThis makes decent cast, and great lattes and capachinos. E 'doesn ' t have all the bells and whistles, or the use of some of the yuppie high-end machines, but if you just want a good shot, or cup of coffee, this machine will do well. R rit has been almost two years, and over a thousand hits, no problems at all.
This beautiful espresso maker makes a cup of hot espresso or cappichino, cream on top, good taste, easy to handle. The only drawback I found, is that it doesn 't turn off the water by itself, it keeps rolling until you tell to stop. If you don 't focus for a minute, you ' ll have a mess :-) I would still buy this machine again.
The DeLonghi BAR32 is excellent! It 's easy to use and does an outstanding job producing cream and milk foam. For the price, it would be very difficult to beat. I highly recommend it.
I bought this machine based on user reviews, both on Amazon and elsewhere. Overall, I 'm pleased with the operation of the machine, ease of use, quality, etc.. The only thing is that I still haven 't been able to make espresso coffee is really good or milk with it. I 'm experimenting with grinds, beans, and the amount of pressure on the base before making beer, and I hope that I got there, but so far, been mediocre. R RALS, I have been able to find 'pods ' on the big stores or in the Super Target, which is disappointing. I think they may take factors outside my control and may make a better cup.
I love the look and design of this machine, but has some flaws that could not live. The portafilter 's largest filter basket is too small to use the coffee strong enough to get a double dose flavor. I mainly drink stalkinstarr so this is very important. I could only get the right flavor with a very fine, very much and run the filter using a single shot double shot, having to do it three times to get a good size stalkinstarr more problems that 's worth . Other espresso I 've seen a much larger portafilter / filter basket. So for me this is the main drawback of this machine. R rThere there a way to remove the installation program portafilter pressure as the Mermaid, for example, so you can make your own plastic Picon and not touch your beer. Hate the rubber that is placed on the filter, basically, the whole is a pain. You have to unscrew a piece of plastic then remove the rubber cover that is placed on the filter, and wash and then put everything back together. It suggests a thorough cleaning of the assembly produces only 300 each but this is ridiculous, and I did every time there was coffee liquid waste within, not simply rinse your state meeting, so I know that just rinse without taking part each time would affect the flavor very quickly. R rAnother problem is the movement of the portafilter get it in the right place. It is a very tight fit and you must be careful not to force it, just pull him towards the front just enough to be left in place, do not click. Otherwise, as others have mentioned, take the opportunity to twist the filter to the portafilter basket and water won 't flow through, because they do not align properly. R rthe last not like this machine is that you can 't go to steam / froth milk to take pictures without running a little water to the boiler as it says in the manual that burn the coffee from steaming to brewing. So you should throw the first shot, then steam. Personally, I like using a cup, steam the milk right into the cup, then throw the shot (s) in it. Only a cup of everything. The other way to throw something else in the shot, steam milk or something else, then use something else to drain water in the extra time and additional elements that must be cleaned. R Rone unobtrusive What kept me going is that being inside one of the rubber feet wouldn 't r rOkay now for the good things. Absolutely love the steam wand, it does a great job and the foam, the best we 've seen, but should unscrew for cleaning every time and finally I think the threads will spend as is plastic. In addition, the water tank works great no problems, easy to use. R rPeople have complained of being unable to use a large bowl, but there is no problem with that, you can remove the two plastic pieces underneath a large bowl and fits well. I have not had problems with leaks, but you can put a folded paper towel under the bowl you 're concerned about leakage. R rthe size of this machine is perfect, easy to store and looks great. The buttons are easy to use. R Rif was not 't to design the filter double portafilter too small unless you give five stars. A good price for this machine is $ 119. R rHopes helps anyone looking at this espresso coffee machine with your decision? R rLaura..
